L'Oliveraie sits in a private valley, 3 hectares in size. This large stone house is set back within the valley and is overlooked by nothing but evergreen hooded slopes. The privacy created by this setting is complete, and rivals the tranquility achieved by the most efficient magnates of Provence. L'Oliveraie is not just a romantic summer vacation rental but a genuine slice of the Provençal landscape over which you have sole reign. Your privacy is assured. This natural phenomenon provides a micro-climate which has permitted the owner to plant exotic trees such as eucalyptus, peach, palm, orange & lemon.
Twelve years in its creation, L'Oliveraie has been finished to a very high standard. Only natural materials have been used to construct and finish this vacation villa. Dry stone walls abound. Terra cotta tiles cover the entire ground floor.
The solid wood beamed ceilings are 3.2 metres high giving an open, airy feel. The interior is refreshingly cool even in the full heat of the day. As you would expect, the kitchen is fully equipped with dish washer, microwave etc. There is also a washing machine at the rental property.
The owners, ever looking to improve their exclusive service and welcome their guests in the best possible way, offer clients a welcoming evening meal of your choice, whether it is a traditional local meal you'd like or a more exotic southern Asian delicacy they will be more than happy to prepare it for you with sufficient prior notice. This service is also available during your stay and menus are at your disposal.
The sitting area, with its flat screen TV and built-in fire place shares the open plan communal living areas on the ground floor. There's also a dining area which is rarely used given that dining tends to be al fresco in the summer months.
The kitchen has been finished in stone and terra cotta giving it a truly Provencal feel. L'Oliveraie is so called because organic olive oil is produced from the olive trees dotted all over the grounds. The oil is gorgeous and on sale at the property. The owner also leaves a selection of wine which you can buy as needed.
