As well and in addition to the house-keeper who provides 3 hours of cleaning every week day, the live-in guardian is always present at the property to provide advice and assistance, and spends the days maintaining the 'English cottage style' garden and Provençal grounds.
Pop out into the garden, through the veranda and choose your herbs from the well kept garden. The live-in guardian makes sure the garden and grounds are at their best all year round. The doors/windows of the veranda have been designed to open on all sides so making it adaptable to the changing conditions. Open during the high season, partially open for when the Mistral blows, and of course completely closed so one can relax in this garden room all year round.
The kitchen appliances are finished in stainless steel and the appliances are of the highest quality. This is a kitchen ideal for serious chefs. In late 2015 two professional refrigerators were installed in the villa.
The attractive sitting area offers a comfortable place to relax and in the cooler months cuddle up and get warm in front of the insert fire. But don't be fooled, Provence is just as stunning in winter, and often the weather is very mild. Golfing in a tee shirt in November is not out of the question--but not guaranteed.
The ground floor open area is divided into two, the sitting area pictured above, and this comfortable sitting room (once again with open fire). This area is dominated by the beautiful Steinwig grand piano which sits in front of french windows leading out into then garden and pool area.
Le Menade has a warm, lived-in feel, great care obviously having been taken over the years to maintain the quality standard. This 180 cm en-suite double bedroom enjoys lovely views over the garden and pool.
The 12 x 6 metre swimming pool can be fenced-in for the protection of children, and there is also an alarm just in case. Surrounded on three sides by mature vegetation you don't feel that the pool dominates the garden, which so often is the case.
