For dining indoors, there is a large table seating 10-12. The house is beautifully and comprehensively furnished and every last detail has been
carefully planned. The owner has thought of everything, even providing visitors with samples of his home-made jam and olive oil.
Guests will really feel as though they've found a home away from home.
Anyone interested in cooking is bound to be enraptured by this kitchen! The enormous 'vaisselier' (china cupboard) contains crockery and cutlery for
up to 50 people, and every kind of appliance has been provided, along with a choice of table linens and many pretty decorative items.
And when the food is ready, pop outside to the herb garden for those final finishing touches.
The house is equipped with fine antique linens for you use and there are several sets of dishes for you, deepening on your mood.
Pool heating is included in June, July, August and September. There is a charge for other months.
The mas is a short walk from the village centre yet surrounded by Provencal countryside.
Upon your arrival you will find a large fruit basket, cheeses, Champagne and wine, breads, sausage, milk, cereal and more. You will have plenty for a light dinner your first evening and breakfast the next morning.
This small village is home to well-heeled vacationers, as well as to French film and tv stars and other high wattage glitterati. To give you an idea
of the prestige of this little village, European royals live and visit here. However, the town has retained its old style ambiance,
which is one reason it is so attractive to visitors.
The mezzanine has 2 single beds, but these are not counted as part of the accommodation. They are a plus, and ideal for parents who would prefer to have their children sleeping close to them. Bear in mind that the staircase leading to the mezzanine is steep and therefore potentially hazardous.
There are several delightful seating areas, ideal for an al fresco breakfast, a long, lazy lunch or that all-important cocktail at the end of a busy day
after viewing the myriad sites of Provence or lazing by the pool. For those who prefer a little shade to the hot sun, there are comfy rattan chairs
providing a perfect place to read ............ or simply doze. Any cooks in the party can develop their culinary skills by using the large barbecue.
Up the staircase on the right you find the master bedroom with a 180 cm bed and en-suite bathroom. The room has a stone fireplace,
crowned by an exquisite 'Trumeau'--combination painting a mirror.
Each bedroom has been individually designed and decorated with hand-crafted Provencal furniture and fabrics for an authentic Provençal look.
The owners bought many of the pieces have been bought locally in St Rémy de Provence and L'Isle sur la Sorgue,
the latter famed for its enormous Sunday market and 300+ antique shops.
All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and all also have telephones from which to call other rooms.
Wake in the morning to the glorious view of the pool and the Parc des Alpilles.
The fabulous sitting-room has a magnificent chimney and an extremely high ceiling with a galleried corridor at first-floor level. Windows to both sides
give a wonderful light, showing the various original works of art to their best advantage.
The property is full of interesting pictures and artefacts which the owners have collected on their travels and in the many markets and brocante
stalls of Provence, all of which combine to give the house a totally lived-in and welcoming feel.
As well as being extremely comfortable, the sitting-room also houses Sky TV, a DVD player and CD, along with a wide assortment of books
in the English language and games for all the family. For those wishing to work or to keep in touch with friends back home, there is also
Wifi and a Fax machine.
For the otherwise sporty, the home cinema room located in the basement, where partying is positively encouraged!
A recent introduction to the home cinema room is a fully renovated Gaveaux upright piano dating from 1870,
which professional and amateur pianists will appreciate. A second digital receiver has also been installed so that,
as well as Sky TV reception in the sitting room, the home cinema receives Canal Sat.
And finally, for the slightly less sporty (or for a well-earned rest after a good work-out) what could be nicer than a rest
next to the refreshing fountain in the mottled shade of the mature pine tree.
